Sea Glass Bistro & Lounge

I LOVE THIS PLACE! First of all, as a local, the cocktail menu is incredibly unique and creative compared to the rest of town! A couple of friends and I went to cheer ourselves up after a hard day at work and it totally turned us around! THE DRINKS (Our Bartender, Robert, was amazing): mocktail Crown of the Coast (not pictured) 4.5/5. this tastes like nostalgic childhood memories and Pink Tampico. Would recommend if you want a sweet ALMOST citrus flavor that doesn’t make your mouth pucker or your teeth rot with sweetness. Agate Beach Wayside AMAZING! 4.7/5 This drink has this unique way of making you want to keep drinking it! There is a subtle bitterness to the alcohol, but never so much as to make you shudder. Not JUICE, this is an alcoholic beverage that is refreshing and delicious. Oaxacan Hot Chocolate FINALLY! 5/5 This drink was incredible. As someone who, personally, hates Coffee it is so hard to find dessert cocktails that don’t feature some kind of coffee element, or are so cloyingly thick you feel like your clogging a straw just thinking about it. THIS DRINK WAS LIFE-CHANGING!! The Mezcal provides a whole new layer of smokiness that really enhances the way chocolate tastes. The mouthfeel of this drink is smooth and effortless. I was so pleased by this drink, and now I can’t stop thinking about it. High-end dining experience and atmosphere, incredible drinks, and food for a pretty moderate cost (my burger was 19 with Bacon and came with fries, whereas my mom got something delicious with risotto and seafood for hardly much more of a cost). Drinks are to die for and I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of them!!

Enjoyed a fantastic Christmas dinner. The prime rib was tender and juicy, the potatoes Lyonnaise were flavorful, and the salad was delicious. Chef Bob even walked through the dining room, stopping at every table, to chat with folks. Great food and great service. I'll definitely be back!

Leo L. was our server. We went on a Monday night and he was super nice and attentive even though they were short staffed. He was also running everywhere to get all his tables taken care of! We had the bistro burger and it was delicious! Went to our room with dessert! I definitely recommend.

Fantastic view of the ocean! I had the special with raw cod and garlic bread. Delicious.

Very underrated dining option in Newport. The menu is varied and can satisfy you from burgers and fish and chips to pasta, steaks, and local specials. The bar is professionally run and the service is friendly. 2025 update: Great new menu options. The shrimp and grits are really good and the new prime rib sandwich is tender and delicious.

Absolutely amazing restaurant! A five start experience without the Dress code. Excellent food and perfect size servings. Great drinks! Leo, our waiter was fantastic, knowledgeable, and very pleasant! Would definitely come here again and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone that enjoys good food and atmosphere.

Visiting the coast and never miss an opportunity to stop here. They have the best clam chowder hands down. Didn't disappoint this visit either. Also the the views are spectacular and they have a beautiful patio with fire tables if its not raining outside. Dogs welcome. But back to the full bar and fabulous food. Tonight after the caIm chowder had crab Mac and cheese, full of fresh crab and creamy. Mmmm. Finished with the Sea glass cheesecake. Highly recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant in the Best Western hotel in Agate Beach.

Food was delicious and great value. Husband had halibut fish & chips (superb - I'm ordering next time), I had halibut too but with potatoes and asparagus- also delicious. Best meal we've had in Newport area. The view over the beach and ocean is also wonderful. Go for the sunset!!
